So what is The Alate?
Well, it simply means to have wings, to be lifted up in flight!
Born from the minds of two very different photographers who just wanted to help others, we wanted to create a place where we could celebrate our differences and push each other out of our comfort zones. To take a literal step up and to be lifted. The Alate originally started as an idea for a dual educational workshop, but we found our ideas and aspirations only grew larger the more time went on.
We both met during a turbulent time in our lives after a move to Liverpool; and while we both see the world quite differently, we both share a huge respect for each other and found admiration in how we push ourselves in our business. In a short time, we had watched each other's personal and professional growth happen almost exponentially, and we found ourselves wanting to share this journey with others! So, after many talks over more than a glass of wine, we finally decided to form the Alate to help share our knowledge and passion for wedding photography with you.
We will be hosting a variety of events for wedding photographers and, towards the end of the year, are planning an educational classroom-style workshop. We will also be posting educational blog posts and eventually aim to offer more personalised mentoring. And then, well, who knows! We want this to grow with you so we are keeping our minds open.
